Your BX Tap Timer has a short manual run set into the timer as a factory default - so when you press the button on the front of the timer, that's what it will run. In this article, we'll help you with the steps to create a longer manual watering time.
This new manual watering time is set up in the app, and once it's saved you can then set it to run directly at the timer, using the button on the front of the BX1, or button found below the dial on a BX2 or BX4:
BX1 BX2/4
- In the iGardener app, tap your BX Tap Timer to highlight it - it will move to the top of the list and have a blue background.
- Then tap Zone Management
- Go to the manual watering hand at the bottom right of the page:
- Touch the time and drag your finger up or down to change the hours and minutes to your new manual watering time, then tap Done at the top right
- Now tap Update to save the time to your BX device
- You will receive a tick to confirm the update, and a new date will show below the timer
Your timer now has its new manual watering time stored onboard. You can press the button, and it will run for this new time.
Please note:
- For a BX2 or BX4 timer it is possible to have a different manual watering time for each zone - you will need to select the correct zone on the dial for your manual watering.
- If you change the manual watering time, the app will prompt you to update this new time to save onboard for the timer, if you choose to update while the watering is running this manual run will be stopped. You can choose to start it again after the update if required.
