For Android users, precise location is now an option in some phone models. Because of this your location may need explicit permission to be shared with the app. Please review the steps below to check/update your permissions and location in the app.
If you haven’t already created a home, the first step will be to create a ‘Home’ in Holman Home:
* In the Holman Home app go to the 'Me' page (bottom right-hand side of screen)
* Tap 'Home Management'
* Tap 'Create a home'
* Enter the required details to make your home – then save your home.
You'll now see this appear on the 'Home Management' screen
Exit the app fully (close the app)
Then we're heading to your phone settings:
*Find Holman Home under ‘Apps’,
*Check the location permission – this is done by tapping on ‘Permissions’ in the ‘App Info’ screen, then tapping ‘Location’ - the minimum permission is 'while using the app'
*In a newer phone, please also toggle on 'precise location' – this is not available in all makes and models, but where the option is there, it will need to be turned on.
Go back into the app and check your location in the device information screen.
If this has not updated, then go to 'remove device' and 'disconnect' (do not disconnect and wipe!) - you can then pair the device into Holman Home.
With a Helios Weather Station, once it is re-added and has passed the first 'sync' cycle with the internet you'll see it all updates to be your correct location and time zone (both in the app and on your screen).
