When you first get your DRG001 Wireless Digital Rain Gauge it should be as simple as putting the batteries into each part while they're close to each other and then it's paired and ready to install.
However, in some cases the screen is coming on with Fahrenheit (F) rather than Celsius (C) displayed on the screen.
If you have a product which is showing F rather than C, remove the batteries for a minute and put them back in - it should then revert to C, there's no setting you can alter as this is pre-programmed to the screen.
Please note: Prior to placing the rain gauge out into the garden There is a cardboard shipping insert which needs to be removed prior to installation. Simply undo the funnel on the rain gauge by turning it clockwise (click lock) and then you can access and remove this piece of cardboard.
Removing the mounting plate from the base:
Please note: The pull handle (middle of the rain gauge base) does not assist in removing the mounting plate. The pull handle is held on with screws, as it protects the battery compartment.

Let's look back on the previous weekly/monthly and total rainfall using the 'RAIN' button
Once you're done press the 'RAIN' button one more time to cycle back to 'DAILY' returning to today
A few days have passed and now we can review the week from our screen without through the rain history (unless you wanted to)
How can I reconnect my screen with the rain gauge when they lose signal?
- Press and hold the 'Down' button on the back of screen for 3 seconds
- Look for the flashing in the outdoor section of the screen (rainfall will flash, outdoor temp/humidity will change to '--' and flash)
- They will generally reconnect within 30-90 seconds
If the screen cannot find the rain gauge:
- Check that there is a red light flash on the rain gauge base (every 40 or so seconds)
- If there is no flash change the batteries
- If there is a flash remove the batteries from the rain gauge base and then put them back in - the base should flash to confirm the batteries being put back in.
- Repeat the screen steps (press 'down' for 3 seconds, etc)
