Can I get a refund without a receipt?
-No, refunds are provided by the retail outlet that you purchased your item from.
You must visit the store with your receipt for a refund on your purchase.
Retailers have many ways of assisting with the retaining and recovery of receipts, please check with them.
Digital receipts can be kept in an app download from the ACCC, this is called ACCC Shopper App.
We cannot assist you with a receipt and refunds are at the retailer discretion.
Can I get an item replaced under warranty?
Yes, we can help with replacement items if they fall within the given warranty period.
You will need to provide a receipt, original packaging, transaction on a card or, in some cases, items have a manufacturers batch number.
For other items, you will need a receipt to establish age of the item.
Warranty Details
All Holman products carry a warranty, this varies depending on your product type. For product specific warranty information please look in your user manual - for products which have a booklet style manual the warranty is inside the back page.
For other products, without any warranty advice stated on the packaging, the warranty is 12 months from the date of purchase.
Your purchase receipt is the most widely recognised warranty document, this states the date of purchase and how much you've paid for your item. If you've purchased from a large chain store then as a general rule you can return to any store within the chain for warranty exchange (or refund).
If you've purchased from a independent retailer, then you will need to return to that specific store to arrange warranty assistance.
Items such as wall brackets are not required to be returned when undertaking an exchange for a hose reel (as an example). But in most other cases the item must be returned completely (for example - weather station returns include the outdoor vane and indoor screen).
Packaging is not required for a faulty item, as it cannot be resold.
Change of mind will come down to local store policy and is not covered by warranty.
Cosmetic issues such as fade, for an item which is in the sun, is not covered by warranty - as this does not affect the ability of the item to do its job.
We'd always recommend hanging onto your receipts, which we do appreciate isn't always easy - so using an app like the ACCC Shop app https://www.accc.gov.au/about-us/tools-resources/accc-shopper-app is a great way to hang onto all your warranted products.
