Barometer settings on your Weather Station may need to be calibrated.
When the barometric pressure is not consistent with your local weather reports, it may be that your weather station may need to be calibrated:
- Note down the current barometric pressure of your local weather listing from an independent source online. We recommend the Bureau of Meteorology
- Note down the current barometric pressure on your Weather Station
- Note the difference between the two pressure readings.
- Access your Weather Station settings and look for Relative Pressure Offest – your user guide will help you find this (If you don't have your user guide handy, you may be able to find it for your particular Weather Station here)
- Input the difference between your two pressure readings as the Relative Pressure Offest – this will offset your weather station barometer reading to match closer to your local weather authority.
- As a guide, you can manually add 10hPa for every 100m above sea level.
