New 2024 RGB Wi-Fi Lighting Controllers offer a new setting which will allow you to tell the controller how to behave in the event of an outage. These start from batch 2426.
In the previous generation of light controller the power outage will mean the light comes on and will stay on until you've turned it off. This can be worked around using the schedule (and setting a 12pm and 12am off time).
In your new controller you'll notice there are 'Settings' rather than 'Schedule' in the bottom right corner of the screen (circled in purple), when you open this you will see the option to select Schedules or Power Failure Settings:
If the power is OFF after a power outage, to turn the light ON you can
- use your Holman Home app UI (User Interface)
OR
- at the light, turn the power ON, turn the power OFF and then turn the power ON again - this option seems strange, but is used to recognise there is no longer a power outage and you want the light ON
