This FAQ article relates to the new light pack and light kit products:

WXSL001 Wi-Fi Adjustable Spotlight Value Pack

Difficulty in pairing (connection to Holman Home):
This series of lighting products features Bluetooth mesh pairing, which makes pairing easier. Permissions are required for the Bluetooth pairing to work:
Android
*Have you allowed the location and nearby device permission?
(Minimum permission, ‘when using the app’)
*Is your location on?
iOS
*Have you allowed the Bluetooth and location permission (location for iOS 17 and higher)?
*Is your location on (iOS 17 and higher)?
Solar Panel specific:
When the panel is covered with a towel, or put facedown on a flat surface do you see red light?
Have you charged the panel prior to attempting connection?
Why doesn’t the App/User Interface (UI) reflect the correct status of the lights?
In this instance either the lights are on but the App/User Interface (UI) shows as off OR the lights are off but UI shows as on.
When the lights are controlled by a timer then the lights do not communicate this ON or OFF status change to the App/UI if already opened.
If the UI isn’t showing the correct ON/OFF status, please either open OR close and then open the UI. This process will refresh the correct ON/OFF status.
This applies to:
- Bluetooth Flood Light Kit (Twin Pack)
- Bluetooth Ground Light Kit (Twin Pack)
I'd like to sync my Bluetooth Flood/Ground lights so they can 'dance' to music (or all be the same colour)
See our article for this here:
Do I have to set a schedule for my Solar Spotlight Kit - can it just be left on?
Your solar light kit offers options for scheduling within the app interface, but you can also simply set a colour and leave it on, then the light will come on when it's dark enough and turn off either when the battery is flat or the sun comes up (which ever comes first).
Using your light in this way does not effect the battery charging.
Example of programming using a schedule: To use the light in the permanent 'on' state, set your colour and ensure the power icon is on:
When you exit the Solar Light Kit you should see the power button shown as green (on):
The light will not be on if it is day time, but will come on at sunset in this state.
What are 'Quick Links' in the Solar Panel menu - and why don't they work?
Quick Links are used to provide a link to scenes (automations) for Wi-Fi products. Because the Solar Panel kit is Bluetooth, it is not compatible to Quick Links.
How can I set a schedule for the Wi-Fi Spotlights?
The Wi-Fi Spot light Value Pack (WXPL001) does not feature scheduling. Because these are Wi-Fi connected you can set an automation which will turn the lights on and off.
When you pair your lights into Holman Home these automations are offered as scenes to help you with an easy set up.
To access the scenes, tap the 'scene' icon at the bottom of your Holman Home app page:
Scroll to the bottom of the page to see the 'Recommended Scenes'
Then tap the box to edit the scene
Tap beside the time to change this off time:
The blue arrow indicates the 'repeat' which is the days of the week. Tap there to change the days you use the timer (a green tick indicates the day is selected).
The red arrows indicate the time being able to be changed with the scroll wheel - touch then slide up and down the screen to change these values (24hr time).
After setting the schedule, tap 'add' to complete the automation:
Your on and off automation will show in the app:
Leave your lights powered on, and they will turn on and off using their automation
(Wi-Fi Signal Strength must be at or above -70dBm for regular timing to work. Please note that weaker or poor signals (-75/-80-90dBm) will not always be able to offer enough signal strength to the spotlights to use an automation).
