Setting your Wi-Fi to use the 2.4GHz network can be a bit tricky if you're not familiar with your modem or router settings.
The easiest way is to contact your internet provider (like Optus, Telstra, or whoever you’re with) and ask them to help you:
- Split your Wi-Fi bands so you have both a 2.4GHz and a 5GHz network.
- Ask for the Wi-Fi password for the 2.4GHz network. It’s often the same as your current one, but if they create a new one, make sure to write it down.
- Check the security setting on the 2.4GHz network — it should be set to WPA2-PSK or WPA2 Personal, not WPA3.
