My connected Hub is flashing ‘randomly’
There can be times where the Hub has disconnected from the cloud, which can be a response to a cloud server reset or a local outage (Wi-Fi or power). When this occurs, please leave the Hub for a few hours (to overnight) and it will reconnect/self-restore without any effect on your programs (the flashing will stop).
Please note: Do not delete your Hub or tap timers during this time, there’s no need for this action unless the Hub is unable to restore itself.
Hub flashing ‘extra fast’ why?
There are 3 known flash modes for the Wi-Fi Hub.
- Quick blink, long pause – this is not a pairing mode
- Quick blink on/off – this is ‘EZ’ mode which works for pairing in most cases
- Slow blink, equal parts on and off like a breathing pattern – this is ‘AP’ mode and is used for pairing via the Hub’s access point where ‘EZ’ mode hasn’t been successful
If your Hub is flashing very fast and is not responsive to having the button pressed for 3-5 seconds (i.e simply flashing very fast all the time), this is an issue with the firmware for the Hub. This can’t be fixed and your Hub will need to be swapped.
