If you've recently installed a hose reel and noticed a significant reduction in water flow, this is not usual. While a slight decrease in flow is expected due to water passing through the internal components of the reel, a dramatic drop may indicate a fault in the unit.
What’s Normal vs. What’s Not
- ✅ Normal: Slight reduction in water pressure due to internal routing.
- ❌ Not Normal: Noticeable drop in flow that affects usability.
Why This Happens
Hose reels are assembled by hand, and while quality control is a priority, occasional assembly errors can occur. One common issue is a clamp fitted too tightly, which can restrict water flow through the unit.
What You Should Do
If you suspect a fault:
- Return the unit for an exchange at your place of purchase.
- Do not return the wall bracket if it has already been installed.
