Some Holman products require you to make or purchase an additional 'Tap-to-Reel' hose that allows you to connect your product to a garden tap.
These products include:
To make your Tap-to-Reel hose you will need:
- Scissors
- 2x 12mm Grip 'n' Lock Hose Connectors
- 1x 20/25mm Tap Adaptor (if not on your tap already)
To purchase a Tap-to-Reel hose:
Making the Tap-to-Reel hose:
Depending on how much hose you need to connect your Hose Reel to a tap, you can unwind this amount off your Hose Reel. If you have a spare hose nearby that you can use, you can make one with that instead. Unwind the desired length (we recommend around 1m worth of hose) and cut it off.
- With the cut piece of hose, take the hose connector fittings and attach these onto either end of the hose. Unscrew the nut off the end of the connector and slide this over the hose.
- Take the Blue O Ring out of the bottom of the fitting and place this on the very end of the hose (Grip 'n' Lock Hose Fittings only).
- Push in the hose fitting and screw on the nut, this will screw over top of the Blue O ring.
- Repeat this process on the other end of the hose.
One end of this hose will connect to your garden tap. If needed, screw the 20/25mm Tap Adaptor onto your garden tap.
