By default, your BX Tap Timer runs a short manual watering cycle when started using the dial and button. If you’d like your manual watering to run for longer, you can easily adjust this using the iGardener app.
Step‑by‑Step: Set a Longer Manual Watering Time
- Open the iGardener app
- Make sure your BX Tap Timer is connected and visible.
- Go to Zone Management
- Select your BX Tap Timer.
- Choose the zone you want to run manually.
- Confirm the schedule tab
- At the top of the screen, ensure the tab is set to “7 Days”.
- Adjust Manual Watering
- Scroll to the bottom of the page to Manual Watering.
- Set a longer watering duration (for example, 30 minutes).
- Save the change
- Tap Done (top right).
- Tap Update to send the changes to the timer.
- Confirm the update
- You’ll see a message advising that updating the timer will stop watering.
- This is normal — tap Update to proceed.
- The timer will stop briefly, and the new manual watering time will be saved.
Using the Longer Manual Watering
Once set:
- Turn the dial on the BX Tap Timer to the desired zone.
- Press the button.
- The timer will now run for your new, longer manual watering time.
You can repeat this whenever you need extended manual watering — no need to reset it each time.
💡 Helpful Tip
If you often switch between short and long manual watering, you can revisit the Manual Watering setting in the app at any time to adjust the duration.
